Interview

  • What makes you stand out from the crowd?
My hair (very blond and 100% natural), my legs (they're big and beefy), and my ability to lighten the mood and liven things up when things get a little too serious and/or quiet (even if they're supposed to be). 0_o
  • Tell us what you consider to be your greatest life experience.
I think this is a trick question... the best has yet to come. There have been many great things to happen in my life. There is also more than a handful of not so great. What doesn't kill you makes you stronger, right? I still haven't finished growing up, I know that for sure. Being gay I feel that we don't get some the society standard pivitol life experiences that our not-so-fabulous friends and family members (the commonly labeled: "straight people") get. For instance, it was damn near impossible for "Us", until very recently, to get married (then divorced) and have kids (or at least joint custody of them). All joking aside... (Ah fuck, who am I kidding? That just wouldn't be me.). Since I have nothing to 'force' me to settle down right away, I am going to use this time to keep growing and learning. Through the ups and the downs, only becoming the best person I know how to learn to be. When the best eventually happens, and I am certain that it will. Once the state of shock and awe passes and I reach nirvana or some crazy shit, and it will be wonderful. As for now, at least I still have something to look forward to and a lot more fun to be had along the way
  • How often do you travel? Do you prefer to travel or you are more of a homebody?
I love being at home, that's why it is called home. If I didn't like it I would probably get of the outrageously expensive housing costs of San Francisco. That being said, every few months, I love taking a little break, be it for 2 weeks or 3 months, and using the time to travel to new and exotic destinations, or just head south to LA or San Diego. My most recent, Hong Kong and Thailand. My first experience in Asia, and an unexpected trip as well. What a terrifying/exhilarating journey it has been! A lifetime of experiences I would have missed out on if I wasn't willing to jump right in without testing the waters. Not having a plan; the best and the worst parts of the journey. Sometimes so feeling so lost and never knowing what would happen from one week to the next, but ultimately, I wouldn't have traded this experience for anything in the world! I made so many new friends and saw so many new and exciting things the past 4 months that coming home is a bit scary to think of now. But I miss my families back home in the States and I can't wait to tell them all about my crazy journey.
  • What are your hobbies? What do you like to do in your spare time?
I am an artist. I like taking things, and making them more interesting to look at, or just making them something entirely different all together. Lately my medium has been digital (Adobe Photoshop/Illustrator, Gimp, Glitche). But I dabble in all sorts; doodles and sketching, oil paint, papier mache... I have even been known to pickup a needle and thread on an few occasions.
  • What do you do for fun?
Travel. I don't care if I am alone or where I go. As long as there is some sort of a big city to go explore and hopefully get lost in for a couple hours. If it has good shopping, good food, lots of people watching opportunities, and my headphones (a must-have). That is when I am in my happy place.
  • What is your ‘niche’?
I suppose my niche is that I don't fill a niche. My style and appearance change to suit my mood. I am clean-cut, a bit punk at times, leather clad at others. College jock, to guy next door. I have a unique brand that a niche puts too many limitations on. The only label suited for me is: "Rocky".
