Interview

  • If you have to pick one thing that everyone else should absolutely know about you, what would it be?
That no matter how challenging my life may become, I swear to always maintain a hearty sense of humor through it all.
  • What are your greatest personal traits?
My intensity. I do not shy away from the emotional and the personal. I hope to reveal something true of myself with everyone that I meet.
  • What should others absolutely know about you?
That I intend to be remembered.
  • Name 5 things that you can’t live without.
Ohhhhh, things... I used to think them the bane of my existence, purging as much as I could, aspiring to own as little as possible. As I've grown, I've changed and gained an appreciation of them. Obviously, there's no actual thing I can't do without, so I'll revise the original question: 5 things that are relevant to my identity...

    1. My camera
    2. My sound system
    3. My houseplants (Are plants things? I think not, but I love them and thought they deserved mention)
    4. My computer
    5. My bed
  • What makes you stand out from the crowd?
I tend to find myself more preoccupied with, and brazen about, sex than most. I also try only to speak when I have something significant to say. My intention is to always be someone worth listening to.
  • What are your hobbies? What do you like to do in your spare time?
Mycology ;) I also enjoy reading and writing. I write poetry and stories, and read often at open mics in the area.
  • What kind of diet and fitness regiment do you follow?
I'm very particular about my diet, avoiding processed foods and overly sugared treats, though I do adore fine chocolate. As far as fitness, being a commuter cyclist keeps me quite active and healthy.
  • What do you do for fun?
I watch a lot of YouTube videos, listen to music, sing along, read, write, take photographs.
  • What is your ‘niche’?
I care. I look at you as a real human, with all the intricacies that result from a lifetime of experience. Those things matter to me, as they have shaped you, and thus, how you derive pleasure today. Tell me your story.
  • How often do you travel? Do you prefer to travel or you are more of a homebody?
I do love my home, and this is perhaps the first time I can say that in years, but I've been a member of some travel networks for years now and the itch always gets to me eventually. Mostly, I travel when I have a friend to see.
  • If you and I were on the beach having some wine and great food, what would you tell me about yourself.
Depends on the food, depends on the wine, depends on the beach, depends on you. If the water is still it might remind me of the old lakehouse in Wisconsin, running around all day in the woods as kids. If we're eating oysters, it might remind me of all my friends gathering for a cookout on the Washington coast. You never know what might come up.
  • What do you enjoy most about yourself?
My willingness to question, challege, break the rules. Who wants a subservient little worm? Well, some, I suppose, but I have a sneaking suspicion that even those who wish to be powerful don't always mind being talked back to...
