Interview

  • If you have to pick one thing that everyone else should absolutely know about you, what would it be?
    I can't stand rudeness, discrimination, disloyalty, abuse, misogyny and violence.

    I'm terrified by very religious people, no matter which religion, if they are that fanatic, they can stay 10 miles away from me.
  • What are your hobbies? What do you like to do in your spare time?
    Travelling.
    Cinema.
    Build or fix things., I'm a handyman.
    Going out partying and dancing.
  • How do you go that ‘extra mile' in your life?
    I don't know I guess it's natural in my as I was raised listening to both of my parents:
    "If you are going to do something, do it the best you can"
  • What do you do for fun?
    Travel, road trips on Mexico, I have traveled across 27 of the 32 states in my country.
    Hang out with friends.
    Dance.
    Long walks.
    Eat new things.
  • Tell us what you consider to be your greatest life experience.
    I'm so lucky to have plenty of them.
    1. Changing the law in my state to allow same sex marriage.
    2. Visiting Iguazu Waterfalls.
    3.Diving in the Great Barrier Reef in Australia, when it was still alive.
    4. Swimming with sea lions and whale sharks in the while.
    5. Watching on TV the fall of the Berlin Wall.
    6. My first nephew's birth.
    7. When my dad, being president of the local construction chamber, in a public event introduced me to the Governor as his oldest son and first Mr World Mexico.
    8. A sunny day of May 2018, on a deserted beach in Baja California, Mexico. I connected with Kris so deeply, we shared hopes and fears that marked our lives, we cried as intensively as we laughed,. spent the whole day naked in this remote beach and made love to him over and over until we contemplated the sunset at the Pacific Ocean. The best sex ever.
  • What makes you stand out from the crowd?
    That is something you have to tell me.
  • What is your ‘niche’?
    I don't know, I don't think I have one... I guess people who like honest and authentic.
  • What are your greatest personal traits?
    I take great pleasure on making others happy
  • How often do you travel? Do you prefer to travel or you are more of a homebody?
    I travel as much as I can. I think this is the best way to educate yourself.

    So don't be shy, I'm the best travel companion, take me out.

    I prefer authentic and down to earth than luxury travels, enjoy nature a lot, and exotic destinations, I don't care if there is no AC or sleeping on a hammock.
  • What kind of diet and fitness regiment do you follow?
    I don't have a diet, I just eat healthy, as i told you before, nothing that comes from a factory. I cook every day and try to have large variety of food. I always have a big portion of raw veggies with every meal.
    Exercise 6 times a week, divided in 3 routines that repit twice a week.
  • What’s your lifestyle? What makes you who you are?
    I try to keep it simple, I don't like excess of luxury or extravagant possessions. I exercise every day, try to sleep well and eat healthy food, I don't eat any processed food, I cook everything from scratch. I'm very sociable and love to hang out with friends and family as much as i can.
  • What would you like your followers to know about you that is unique and even a bit personal?
    On 2008 I won the first Mr Gay Mexico competition ever taken place in my country. Then in 2009 i finished 2nd runner up on Mr Gay World, that took place in Canada. Becoming until now the only Mexican reaching that far.
    With all the media attention captured back then I decided to advocate for gay rights, taking advantage of this media coverage.
    Me along with many other gay leaders in my home state managed to address the Congress to open the discussion of gay marriage, achieving eventually success, Colima became the 3rd.state in the Republic to modify the law to allow gay marriage and gay adoption. Which eventually made the Supreme Court of Mexico to rule in consequence and ordered all states in Mexico to change their civil codes to allow same sex marriage.
  • If you and I were on the beach having some wine and great food, what would you tell me about yourself.
    I probably would tell you about my Dad, a great guy who taught me great things and how to be a responsible human being. I will probably talk about my mom to, as she is an example of a strong independent woman who had fought against conventional isms of her time and taught never give up.
  • What should others absolutely know about you?
    1 I'm gay.
    2 I love my family above all other things.
    3 Food and cooking is my passion.
    4 I believe in 2nd chances, but not 3rd.
    5 I trust people until they prove me wrong.
    6 I'm a travel junkie.
    7 I don't believe in God, any of them.
    8 I'm a negotiator, I avoid conflict.
  • What do you enjoy most about yourself?
    My ability to adapt.
  • Name 5 things that you can’t live without.
    Only food and water.
    One of the most important things this pandemic has showed us is how superficial our life can be.
    When we would kill to have that particular car, those trendy sunnies or go to this festival; now what we all want is to have food, drink, shelter and a job.
