Interview

  • What are your hobbies? What do you like to do in your spare time?
I enjoy travel, meeting people, seeing ruins of ancient civilizations. I write a lot. I love orchids so collect them and try laugh as much as I can.
  • If you have to pick one thing that everyone else should absolutely know about you, what would it be?
iv walked over fire in a fire walking ritual, completed the Duzi canoe marathon, jumped out of planes ,bunjeed over waterfalls. Eaten cat and rats with scorpions and worms, had my heart stolen and broken been rich and been poor , have got a few things right and have made huge mistakes...im living my life and its something!
  • How do you go that ‘extra mile' in your life?
    I dont.
  • What do you do for fun?
many things but one thing I friggin love is growing orchids.
  • Tell us what you consider to be your greatest life experience.
    falling in love.
  • What are your greatest personal traits?
I can see situations from many perspectives...uderstanding is almost a super power in some settings. being able to put oneself in anothers shoes can change the world.
  • What makes you stand out from the crowd?
I live my life. I put little value to what most consider valuable and I trust the river of life knows where it's going so whenever I find myself holding onto something to tightly. I let go and go with the flow and let the current take me and wash me up on the next shore.
  • What is your ‘niche’?
    I have many.
  • What’s your lifestyle? What makes you who you are?
Food, fun, friends, family, fantasy and faith.
  • What kind of diet and fitness regiment do you follow?
I used to eat six times a day and focus on health and and gym religiously yet traveling in Asia for so long changed that and cultivated a desire for indulgence that I need to constantly keep in check so it doesn't run away with me. One can never be two healthy is a great way to live however I firmly believe in "energetic health" and this justifies my guilty moments. The theory being, one would far more be nourished by eating a big slice of chocolate cake smiling than suffer through a bowl of lentils in the name of health. Moderation and variety I think is the key.
In terms of exercise I should remain quiet on the subject as I ashamedly don't do as much as I know I ought to, but we working on that lol.
  • What would you like your followers to know about you that is unique and even a bit personal?
I'm shy about sleeping next to another because I'm very vocal and talk a lot in my sleep. I'm told that this can be quite amusing...but I don't believe it as iv never heard myself talk in my sleep lol
  • If you and I were on the beach having some wine and great food, what would you tell me about yourself.
That one day I'm going to be a well known guy when my autobiography is published. This book has so far been the craziest most unbelievable adventure with the most incredible people who iv met that have added life to each story, coloring it pages.
  • What should others absolutely know about you?
Im trying to be more and more honest as Each day go's by. This is not always easy and sometimes takes bravery as the truth is not always easy to deal with . I do respect honesty as I interpret it as loving one more than being afraid of hurting another's feelings when dealing with honesty between two people but the truth or a real/ true moment in other areas of life are generally regarded as more valuable than fake ones, so yes I think people should know I try live in and walk towards the truth.
  • What do you enjoy most about yourself?
I enjoy the way I try understand others. My grandmother instilled in us to always defend the one who wasn't present in a circle where gossip was fizzling. In time this gave birth to me always trying to understand why others did things the way they did by attempting to walk in their shoes.
It's amazing how much can be excused, explained or discovered when you stop judging the person and try understand them and what amazing freedom is a consequence when one doesn't take another hostage and make them live like you believe they should. I am a very sensual in touch kind of guy and perhaps think and feel more than I ought to but like most of us I like to feel good and when i am walking around not judging or condemning the world or people and situations , it gives me more peace and time to be in the moment enjoying the people , places and things that I am fond of.
  • How often do you travel? Do you prefer to travel or you are more of a homebody?
I was born at a very young age and since those tender days of youth iv loved exploring and that grew into a passion for travel. I have spent the last year and a half traveling Asia with Bangkok as a base and found that most exhilarating .I'll go just about anywhere at least once so send me a ticket and I'll be there.
  • Name 5 things that you can’t live without.
    1).Blow up sheep doll.
2).Mrs Beatons book on household management .
3).matching pajama top and bottoms with the theme " frogs and watermelons".
    4) Rainbow clogs
5).Maneki- memo: Chinese paw waving cat statue
No , I couldn't resist putting down that list of items. The true things I can't live without are as follows:
    1) Food- now I know this is obvious but I tend to take it a bit extreme. Having had a career as a chef I get overwhelmed and passionate when it comes to to exploring new flavors or comforted in old favorites.
    2) Kindness- I find kindness more attractive than looks. Generosity and thoughtfulness impresses me however something as simple as a smile shared with a passing stranger, ( that quiet moment when two pairs of eyes meet and see each other then offer up a smile of acceptance, appreciation and gratitude, well that just creates fireworks in me).
    3) Animals and children- as a man who values honesty above pretty much everything I am bowled over by simple genuine acts of emotion as there is nothing quite so innocent and perfect as the inappropriate and hilarious truth from a child or a spontaneous hug or perhaps a litter of puppies frantic attempt to lick you to death.
