i’ve travelled the world most of my life and have a unique perspective because of it. i’m very appreciative and accepting of diversity.
  • What’s your lifestyle? What makes you who you are?
Yoga and Meditation completely changed my life.
Traveling extensively around the world completely changed my life.
Writing and talking is how i make sense of the world. Meditation is becoming stronger in that area as well.
I love taking pictures. I love looking. I love all of the senses.
    I believe in Magic.
.. and strive to learn it!
  • If you and I were on the beach having some wine and great food, what would you tell me about yourself.
i've written books about all of the things i could say
    my life is pretty open
    but pretty complex

but i'd answer any question you had
or tell you stories and pontifications based on whatever you were interested in. . .
    i can kinda talk forever

so we'd also have to just hold hands and watch the moonlight on the waves
and listen to the surf and birds for a while. . .
  • What should others absolutely know about you?
I'm happiest naked in nature. Barefoot. Swimming in rivers.
I love talking and listening, but to be a friend you must be able to rest in silence with me. I love teaching and love learning. and love being people people who like adventure and exploration.
  • What makes you stand out from the crowd?
I did not go to college. I traveled the world for 12 years. I've never been good at academia. . . yet i know a little about a lot of things. some people think i know a lot about a lot of things. I've documented my life extensively in photographs and writings. for about 8 years i had a blog. i wrote extensively (over 6000 pages when i printed it out into books, ten volumes!) posted thousands of photos and many videos. and this was all before the Facebook era! i've done my best to set a good example of the life i wish were possible when i was a kid. i feel i am maturing gracefully, learning more disciplined and sustainable ways to care for myself and friends. I don't exactly fit into any mold. . . and when people get to know me they are always surprised by how i don't adhere to what they initially believed about me.
  • How often do you travel? Do you prefer to travel or you are more of a homebody?
I went on Foreign exchange to northern England when i was 17. . . then continued to travel for 12 years. . . as i always stay. for those 12 years i only paid rent a few times for short periods. . . the first few years i got jobs doing various tech things mostly. . . then i learned how to sell bodywork and used that to support my travels. Nine years ago i got my own apartment in New York City. . . but still travel often. Sometimes just around america. . . some times to walk 600 miles across Spain, or spent two weeks in Serbia on a modeling gig. or have a dark cold winter in Iceland to work on a writing project. I have traveled to support other people to make their dream trips come true. . . like visiting a spiritual healer in Brazil or exploring Machu Picchu, The wildest thing i think i ever did was spend two months in Outer Mongolia. i rode horses over 700 Kms around an alpine lake just south of Siberia!
  • What kind of diet and fitness regiment do you follow?
I walk a lot. I ride my bike more than i take the subway. I do yoga regularly and enjoy doing pushups most days. I meditate regularly to keep my mind and emotions toned as well. I am very savvy with herbs and make herbal infusions, tinctures and blends for various health needs and pleasures. I eat a varied diet of "almost" anything, and enjoy fasting to balance out the rich foods i sometimes eat. I've never done any intoxicant regularly, not even coffee. I do my best to sleep enough and keep myself balanced. I enjoy being physical in many ways.
  • What do you enjoy most about yourself?
I have the ability to be very present to people, to experiences in life. I can be distracted like anyone else. . . but i traveled the world for 12 years in my youth and for a few years lived without money. . . just bartering for experiences. . . and i found that the most valuable asset i had was being present to people. listening to them. seeing them clearly. I am grateful i have this ability for myself and for the people i meet.
