Interview

  • What’s your lifestyle? What makes you who you are?
My transness has influenced every part of my life and continues to affect how I perceive and interact with the world. I've been perceived as a straight female (when I was a teenager), lesbian (during college), straight man (just after transition), gay man (a bit later), and now as a queer man with a very strong trans identity. I can say with certainty that people treat men and women differently and I can also testify to the way gay and lesbian people are treated that differs from heterosexuals because I was treated differently according to my perceived sex and sexual orientation. You might be curious to know which is "best" or rather, who enjoys greater privilege. It should be no surprise that I was treated best when people saw me as a straight man and after that straight woman.
  • What would you like your followers to know about you that is unique and even a bit personal?
Many men I am with for the first time enjoy being with me so much that they bliss out and I lose them to ecstasy for a while. They think of me as "the best of both worlds" and not all of them are into women, in fact, most of them are completely gay! What can I say, I'm a hot man with unusual , but very interesting and fun junk below the belt!
  • What do you enjoy most about yourself?
There are many things I like about myself, but at the top of my list is resilience, empathy and compassion, determination, and my sense of humor.
  • If you and I were on the beach having some wine and great food, what would you tell me about yourself.
I could tell you stories about life as a male-identified lesbian, what it's like living as a man in a trans body, how I gained status (aka privilege) when people started seeing me as male.....and more. Usually, people have lots of questions for me and I'm open to talking about pretty much anything.
  • Name 5 things that you can’t live without.
Beyond the necessities which many of us in the western world take for granted such as shelter, food, water, and other things to meet our basic everyday needs, I would not want to live without community, internet access, Hitachi magic wand vibrator, moisturizer/sunscreen, and access to new knowledge. Could I survive without these things? Absolutely. Would like be fulfilling? No.
  • If you have to pick one thing that everyone else should absolutely know about you, what would it be?
I'm very well educated (PhD), but not pretentious. I enjoy talking about sex, gender and sexuality and people find me to be approachable. I am a sex educator and many of my clients have asked me questions they've never felt comfortable asking anyone else. I am honored to be a confidant for anyone who wishes to entrust me with personal information.
  • What are your hobbies? What do you like to do in your spare time?
I'm a tinkerer, inventor, and self-taught handyman; I almost always have at least one project underway (usually more). I love being outdoors, especially near water. In the summer, I love swimming in lakes and gorges. In the winter I tend to be more of a homebody spending time watching movies or TV series on Netflix. Recent and past favorites include Orange is the New Black, The Walking Dead, American Horror Story, Stranger Things, Parks and Recreation, Sherlock, Breaking Bad, Hell's Kitchen, and Kitchen Nightmares (my only reality-TV indulgences). Some of my favorite movies include The Diving Bell and the Butterfly, The Imitation Game, Amelie, Devil's Playground (I love documentaries!), The Sessions, The Pianist, Life is Beautiful, Schindler's List (I love holocaust films), Elf (silly, I know, but I love Wil Farrel), and Bridesmaids (I love a well-executed chick-flick, especially if they involve Kristen Wiig - love her!).
  • How do you go that ‘extra mile' in your life?
I was the first person in my family to go to college and the first in the history of both sides of my family to get a PhD. I'm not satisfied if I'm not learning something new or finding ways to help other people. I started and ran a trans support group in my town recently for 5 years. I'm out as trans and people frequently contact me for support. I could live stealth (not be out as trans) because of how I look, but I feel compelled to be out so that other people can learn and grow.
  • What do you do for fun?
I'm teaching myself to play guitar and I'm a singer. I'm also learning how to write songs and have a few riffs I'm tinkering with. I also spend a lot of time with my dog, a wonderful pitboxer who I rescued when she was 8 months old. Her best friend, a lab/retriever mix lives next door and I enjoy watching them play.
  • What are your greatest personal traits?
I'm very empathetic and compassionate and bring to my sessions a presence that is often missing from sensual experiences. I give my clients 100% of my attention and I'm genuine with my interactions. I don't pretend to be interested, I AM interested and enjoy getting to know my clients. They can detect this and feel quite comfortable with me.
  • What makes you stand out from the crowd?
Most of the time I'm the only transman in a crowd or one of a few. Mostly, I stand out because of my openness about my body, sexuality, and the fact that I talk about sex and sexuality to anyone without shame or guilt. I want people to feel good about sexuality, not ashamed. I want people to feel comfortable seeking pleasure openly, not secretly. I want people to feel good about their body, not suffer from self-loathing because they don't fit an "attractive" stereotype. I believe anyone is capable of finding something attractive about themself and I love helping them figure out what that is.
  • How often do you travel? Do you prefer to travel or you are more of a homebody?
I prefer to travel and spend a lot of time at home. I like nesting, but also exploring. I recently went on a 5-week cross-country road trip from upstate NY to San Francisco. I did a lot of camping and hit up a bunch of national parks and monuments. I did A LOT of hiking! I've always wanted to do a road trip like that, but this was my first opportunity. It was amazing! Some of my favorite experiences include walking among the hoodoos at Bryce Canyon National Park, getting within 10 feet of wild bighorn sheep at Colorado National Monument, and walking among the amazing giant Sequoias at Calaveras Big Trees State Park.
  • What kind of diet and fitness regiment do you follow?
I try to cook my own meals as much as possible, moving away from pre-made meals even though they're more convenient. My biggest weakness is pizza, but if I don't go near it I can't eat it! I also have an affinity for sweets, especially peach pie! Strawberry-rhubarb is a very close contender for favorite!

I stay very active and find it difficult to be sessile for long, although I have succumbed to the occasional Netflix binge! I love being outside doing things such as hiking and fishing. I get enough exercise from daily activities that I don't have to spend a lot of time in the gym, although I am about to start up a new weight-lifting regime to build mass.
  • What should others absolutely know about you?
I am a transman, meaning I was born in a female body and transitioned to align my appearance with my male gender identity. I started identifying as male as early as age 8, but wasn't able to begin my transition until my early 20's by taking testosterone injections and having my breasts surgically removed. I give myself weekly testosterone injections and will have to do so for the rest of my life.

Testosterone caused many dramatic changes, including a deepening of my voice, muscle and body hair growth (I'm very hairy!), and enlargement of the clit (please refer to it as my penis, cock, or dick). The only thing that hasn't changed is that I haven't had genital surgery. I still have a vagina (please refer to it as a pussy). I have no intention, at this time, to have genital surgery, having come to terms with being a man with an atypical body.
