Interview

  • If you have to pick one thing that everyone else should absolutely know about you, what would it be?
I already answered this question as well, but I will say that what everyone should know about everyone is that no one is perfect and we are all always learning. I think we should try to have empathy for other people no matter who they are or where they come from or what they do. We can't all be saints, and we need to understand and care about people who are in opposition to us as well.
  • What are your greatest personal traits?
Because I already answered this in a previous question, I am going to say my green eyes. My mom and my dad both have green eyes, and we make up only 2% of the world's population. So in a way that makes me feel special, I suppose, and it makes me think of my parents who I love.
  • What makes you stand out from the crowd?
My philosophy on life is that no one really stands out. But I don't mind that. There have been so many people who have accomplished so much, but all in their own way. Whether you're a nobel prize winner, you're a rock star and the whole world knows you, or you're just a normal person from any given country, we're all just people. It takes many people to make a crowd. We are the crowd.
  • What would you like your followers to know about you that is unique and even a bit personal?
The reason I enjoy reading and educating myself is because I want to feel good about my intelligence. I want to be able to converse with most anyone. I don't need to "know it all", however, I want to know enough to be able to keep a conversation alive and maybe even take away something new.
  • What should others absolutely know about you?
Even though I enjoy nice things, it really doesn't take much to thrill me. I feel like I'm down to earth and I can find happiness in doing most anything.
  • If you and I were on the beach having some wine and great food, what would you tell me about yourself.
Sitting on the beach with food and wine, I would tell you that these are the moments I live for. Life doesn't have to be complicated. We can make it so simple. Being in good company, enjoying a beautiful view, eating good food.... it just doesn't really get any better than that.
  • What is your ‘niche’?
If I even had one, I would say my niche is being relatable. Because Ive experienced a few things and I like to educate myself on vastly different topics, I think I am able to have conversations about most anything with anyone. Jack of trades, master of none. I am just your average relatable down to earth boy next door.
  • What do you do for fun?
Depending on the time of day, you can find me in a book store, at the beach, at a lounge. I love reading and learning, I enjoy driving up and down the coast, and I enjoy a nice cocktail or glass of wine in a chill environment where you can have a conversation and connect with people.
  • How do you go that ‘extra mile' in your life?
My "extra mile" is either "never giving up" or "positivity". Somedays I might not be in the greatest mood, but I won't give up. I keep truckin. But I most definitely remain positive not only for others but for myself.
  • What do you enjoy most about yourself?
Any amiable qualities I possess I don't really attribute to myself, but more to the people who have loved me and my surroundings. What I enjoy most about who I am is I seek the positivity in everything, I like to make sure that everyone feels included, I will persevere through almost anything, and I am grounded yet open minded and willing to shift and pivot. Although I love adventure and fun, some of the best things in life are so simple.
  • Name 5 things that you can’t live without.
This may sound funny, but when I travel somewhere, I always bring a map with me, along with a small bottle of cologne, gum, chapstick, and a pen. All these things come in handy. Haha
  • Tell us what you consider to be your greatest life experience.
I'm originally from Missouri, and I remember the first time I left, I took a job in Wyoming to break away and have a new experience. I packed up my bags and took a bus to somewhere I had never been before. I came back to Missouri after that, and then adventure called my name again in California. So I did the same thing. I loaded up my car with everything I owned, and I drove across the country. Both times were scary and liberating. I took a chance and I loved every second of the adventure.
  • What’s your lifestyle? What makes you who you are?
My lifestyle in a nutshell is work hard and have fun. I'm unconventional, but I hustle. I'm responsible and I'm moving forward, but I love to enjoy myself and what's around me. The reason I moved to California is because it's the land of freedom and possibility. I love being free and having fun.
  • How often do you travel? Do you prefer to travel or you are more of a homebody?
Traveling is a part of my life. I thoroughly enjoy it. I travel for work and I also travel for pleasure. Part of experiencing new things is going to places where you've never been and adding diversity to your life. No matter where you are, 5 people will have 5 different ways of doing the same thing. That's beautiful to me.
  • What are your hobbies? What do you like to do in your spare time?
I enjoy hiking, camping, going to concerts, going to the beach or walking on piers, listening to music, reading, studying maps and learning languages.
  • What kind of diet and fitness regiment do you follow?
Although I try not to take things in life too serious, I do pay attention to how often Im in the gym and what I put in my mouth (food). Haha. Ive been paleo, pescatarian, vegetarian, vegan, and Ive learned that not one diet is right for me or for anyone. You just have to do what feels right for you and your body. I visit the gym at least five days a week, and I am somewhere around the pescatarian lifestyle at the moment.
